At first sight, this may seem a banal story. A viewer is watching a temperamental animated cartoon with gags comparable to Tex Avery's. He takes the side of a mouse fighting an uneven battle with an enraged tomcat. The mouse wins the fight. The viewer celebrates the mouse's victory but we can see a trap lying at his feet with a mouse that has just been caught in it. An animated allegory of human ambiguousness and contradiction on the differences between theory and practise. As are all of Koutsky's films, this one is also particular for its excellent and temperamental so-called total animation.
