Mike the Cat and his friends are spending their first Christmas together. A fairy grandpa comes to see them and tells them an unbelievable fairy-tale about a faithful dog named Lysaj. The dog was sad, because he was given nothing to eat on Christmas Day. He dreamt about a dog's heaven, where his services were appreciated as deserved. He was woken up from his dream by the voices of children, who brought his Christmas dinner, and the farmer's wife who invited him to the warm house. Lysaj experienced an even bigger bliss than in the dog's heaven.
